Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires means Malbec, tango, and empanadas!

A vibrant city that celebrates their two favorite sons at every turn-- Lionel Messi and Pope Francis. Although porteños love both, it seemed evident that Papa Francisco takes second to the prolific goal scorer that now calls Miami home.

Buenos Aires means Malbec, tango, and empanadas, as well as steak, steak and more steak! 🍷🥩💃. The city takes time to appreciate, as it doesn't grab as quickly as other places. Don't let that stop you-- the people and gastronomic delights will capture your ❤️

Enjoying food and wine is the best way to understand a culture truly. Check out the following for scrumptious delights:

 La Brigada

Calle Estados Unidos 465, Buenos Aires, Argentina

+54 11 4361-4685

We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned for a second evening. The proud owner, Hugo Echevarrieta, insists the steak is so tender it can be sliced with a spoon! I can attest it is mouth-watering goodness. The quesos a la parrilla was to die for, although a cardiologist might agree for different reasons!

El Hornero de San Telmo

Carlos Calvo 455 local 88 y 89, C1102 AAI, Buenos Aires, Argentina

 +54 9 11 3923-5341

Can you go to Argentina without enjoying empanadas? I think not! Located inside the San Telmo Market, this casual restaurant has a few counter-seats surrounded by crowds waiting to place an order. It is worth the wait; you can watch the empanadas cook while you wait!

 D'oro Italian Bar

Perú 159, C1067AAC CABA, Argentina

+54 11 5051-4059

Argentina is synonymous with beer; however, the influx of Italian immigrants means Buenos Aires is a hotspot for Italian food. One place not to miss is D'oro. A wide range of menu items and an extensive wine list make this a great place to imbibe and dine with a loved one. Do not miss the burrata! (Note: D'oro has a sister property in Miami. If your travel plans also take you to Miami, save the 15-minute Uber drive from South Beach for another option; it is a different caliber than the Buenos Aires restaurant.)

La Cabrera by Gastón Riveira

José Antonio Cabrera 5099.

José Antonio Cabrera 5127.

 4831-0325

 (+54 9 11) 5586-1435

It is a classic Argentinian steakhouse that will appeal to any foodie in your group. Reservations required
