Winter Hikes: Park City is home to over 50 km of groomed trails in the winter. Matt's Flat is a trail with great access to Round Valley's sweeping panoramic views. The Lost Prospector Trail provides a quiet trail with views across Prospector and Park Meadows. The McPolin Farm trail leads to the McPolin Barn, a popular place for family photos. The trail is wonderful in the summer; however, in the winter, it is a fee-based Nordic trail for cross-country skiing. You can absolutely still go and take beautiful photos; however, you won't be able to explore the trail beyond the barn unless you don cross-country skis. If you are looking for a great winter hike that is accessible for the entire family, the Park City Union Pacific Rail Trail is a 28-mile trail that goes from the charming streets of Park City's Main Street through the neighborhoods of Prospector and Park Meadows.
