Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
I have wanted to go to Rio de Janiero since I was about 14 or 15 years old. I distinctly remember my mom asking me where I wanted to go on a summer trip. I think she expected me to throw down Hilton Head or Key West (both exceptional places, without a doubt). Nope. I said, Rio. She told me I was out of my mind and instantly regretted asking for my input. Such a great memory!
I finally made it, and it is my new favorite place. It's electric, alive, and absolutely gorgeous.
